HEALTH

The Health Centre in Sungai Buloh consists of a single storey health clinic, a double storey bungalow, six units of apartments type F and sixteen units of apartment type G. The planning and design of the health clinic is a reintepretation of a standard government template, with the waiting areas of various departments facing an internal therapeutic garden to promote early healing process.

University of Technology MARA was a design and build tender proposal. The medical facility consists of a 120 bed Medical Centre, a postgraduate research centre and residential blocks for both students and staff. The proposed Medical Centre was designed as a multi storey facility with Outpatient treatment on the ground floor and inpatient facilities on the first and second floors.

Based on the concept of Near Patient Treatment ( NPT ) with specialist labs and dedicated observation rooms, a flexible planning approach allows future programming, where two Operation Rooms will be fitted out to complement the four Operation Rooms of this proposal.
